We provide a snack for the children mid-morning,which promotes healthy eating and this reflected in the range of snacks offered to the children with a choice of milk or water with fresh drinking water available for the children throughout the day. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or dietary requirements. To keep our running costs as low as possible we ask parents to make a snack donation each term when the fees are paid.
All children should bring their own packed lunch for the lunch club.
Items to bring for your child
We kindly ask all our parents and carers of children to bring the following items to pre-school for your child:
- Spare clothes
- Wellies and suitable outdoor clothing
- Sunhats (we ask all parents to ensure in summer months that children have suncream already applied before arriving at Pre-School).
- Parents of children who are not fully toilet trained are asked to provide enough nappies to last the day
All clothes and wellies should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
We aim to make Merry-Go-Round Pre-School a welcoming place where children settle quickly and easily. When a child starts to attend, we explain the process to their parents and jointly decide on the best way to help the child to settle into the setting. We encourage parents to come along with the child for the first session, gradually decreasing their attendance as the child gets used to pre-school.
We allocate a key worker soon after the child starts, the child’s key person will help them settle each day and liase with you about any changes or concerns you may have.
